Socialist Majority proudly endorses Kristian Hernandez for NPC.

Kristian Hernandez is a socialist organizer born & raised in Dallas, TX, to Mexican immigrants. For work, she is a production administrator at a construction company. Socialist Majority proudly endorses her for re-election. She joined DSA in 2016, after serving as a National Delegate for Bernie (and again in 2020).

Elected to the National Political Committee of DSA in 2019, she serves on the Steering Committee and is co-chairing the Convention Committee, as well as involved in other DSA national bodies including the National Electoral Committee, the Budget & Finance Committee, and the Abolition Working Group. She is also on the Steering Committee of the Growth & Development Committee, where her focus is on training and surveys. Before being elected to the NPC, she served as DSA North Texas’ co-chair from 2016-2018, founding the Racial Justice WG and the training program. Two of the most notable wins for the chapter under her leadership were the police oversight board (she’s currently on it representing her home district), won by a robust coalition of various organizations, and paid sick time, which put Dallas as the first city in the south to win and implement this policy. Her organizing work outside of DSA has mostly been focused on policing and immigration policies. In 2019, she co-founded Our City, Our Future, an organization centered around ensuring the city budget is reflective of the priorities of the people most affected by policing and poverty. She has continued to be active and help lead the North Texas Dream Team, a grassroots immigrant rights organization dedicated to deportation defense, asylum support, fighting against 287g programs/ICE, and more recently, helping DACA recipients. She most enjoys getting to build relationships with chapters by joining their in-person efforts. So far she has joined chapters in California, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New York, Illinois, Alabama, and, of course, other chapters in Texas, but hopes to be able to join many more in the future.
