Kevin is an organizer and educator who works on racial justice, membership development, and political education. He started organizing after the Ferguson uprising and joined DSA in early 2017. As a member of North Carolina Triangle DSA, he served a variety of leadership roles---political education chair, branch steering committee member, chapter co-chair---as the chapter grew to become the largest in the state. Kevin is a currently a member of the National Political Committee, where he serves on committees like the Communications Committee, the Growth and Development Committee, and the Abolition Working Group. He is also the author of the national priority resolution to Prioritize the Recruitment, Engagement, and Development of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) members of DSA, which was passed by the NPC and is currently being implemented. Kevin was born and raised in North Carolina. He currently lives in Durham, North Carolina, where he teaches philosophy for a living.
